Who shouldn’t use Iontophoresis?Updated 6 months ago

If any of the following apply, you must NOT use Iontophoresis: - You have metal implants or replacements, a cardiac pacemaker or cardioverter-defibrillator, an electrical stimulator, an endoprosthesis, an Intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD/IUCD).

You are pregnant, breastfeeding, have polyneuropathy, have high skin sensitivity,  an allergy to stainless steel, chrome, nickel or any metal.

You have wounds/abrasions/discomfort/soreness/irritation / damage / discolouration / itchiness in the area to be treated.

You are under 12 years of age in which case iontophoresis treatment should be under the recommendation of a doctor.
